Yep. Using it at the moment to do up some spreadsheets. If you're on Tiger you'll need to install X11 as well. If you're on Leopard you're grand (it's already bundled). You can download the DMG from the OpenOffice.org site.
NeoOffice is basically a snapshot of Open Office that runs natively in OS X without X11 (even on Tiger). Also I think I remember hearing that the latest version of OO for Mac no longer requires X11 either?
